Carraro India Electrifies Tractors with ₹17.5 Cr Montra Deal

Carraro India has secured a ₹17.5 crore engineering services contract from TI Clean Mobility – Montra Electric, marking a key step in advancing electric mobility in the agricultural sector.

The scope of the contract includes a detailed feasibility study and the industrialisation of E-Transaxles designed for electric-powered agricultural tractors. These E-Transaxles are critical components that will support cleaner, more efficient farming solutions. The project is part of a broader product industrialisation and supply agreement between the two companies.

Carraro India will be responsible for engineering development and ensuring production readiness of the E-Transaxles. The contract is scheduled for completion by March 2027, subject to final approvals and customer feedback.

This collaboration underscores the growing push toward sustainable agriculture and highlights Carraro India's role in supporting the transition to electric mobility within the farming equipment sector.
