Happy Forgings, a leading manufacturer of high-precision auto and engineering components, has announced a phased investment of over ₹1,000 crore in Ludhiana, Punjab. The expansion is expected to create more than 2,000 direct jobs, including over 300 engineering roles, and drive the development of ancillary industries, thereby boosting the local economy and steel consumption.
The announcement was made by Punjab Cabinet Minister Sanjeev Arora, who highlighted the project’s strategic value in strengthening the state’s manufacturing ecosystem.
Happy Forgings supplies forged and machined components for commercial vehicles, passenger vehicles, and farm equipment, serving major OEMs in India and global markets.
With a market capitalization of ₹10,000 crore and FY25 revenue of ₹1,409 crore, the company is a key player in the sector.
Managing Director Ashish Garg reaffirmed the company’s long-term commitment to Punjab and praised the state’s upcoming industrial policy, developed through sectoral consultation.
