IIT Madras & Hero MotoCorp: Driving the Future of Mobility

Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras) and Hero MotoCorp have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate on research, education, and employee upskilling initiatives aimed at advancing innovation in the automotive sector.

Under this strategic partnership, Hero MotoCorp will offer scholarships for IIT Madras research scholars and engage students through industry-relevant projects, fostering deeper collaboration between academia and industry.

IIT Madras will design and deliver customized degree programs—including MTech and PhD courses—tailored for Hero MotoCorp employees. The institute will also conduct specialized short-term training programs focused on critical technologies such as Electric Vehicle (EV) Development, Battery Cell Technology, Motors & Controllers, and Vehicle Dynamics.

The collaboration is expected to strengthen technological innovation, enhance talent development, and support the industry's transition toward a more sustainable and future-ready mobility ecosystem.
