Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin has signed new Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) worth ₹3,000 crore during his ongoing official visit to Germany and the United Kingdom, reinforcing the state’s efforts to attract high-value foreign direct investment (FDI) and boost employment.
Among the key agreements:
Knorr-Bremse, a global leader in braking systems headquartered in Munich, committed ₹2,000 crore to establish manufacturing facilities for railway doors and braking systems in Tamil Nadu—its first major investment in the state. The project is expected to generate 3,500 jobs.
Nordex Group, a prominent wind turbine manufacturer, will invest ₹1,000 crore to expand operations, creating 2,500 new employment opportunities, further solidifying Tamil Nadu’s position as a hub for renewable energy manufacturing.
ebm‑papst, a global leader in fan and motor technology, announced an investment of ₹201 crore over five years to enhance its Global Capability Centre and expand its manufacturing base in the state. The investment will create 250 skilled jobs across HVAC, automotive, and industrial applications.
During the visit, the Chief Minister also held strategic discussions with BMW Group executives, who expressed strong interest in future expansion plans in the state.
CM Stalin emphasized that the objective of the overseas mission was to strengthen industrial partnerships, attract advanced manufacturing investments, and position Tamil Nadu as a preferred global destination for high-tech industries. He is scheduled to return to India on September 8.
