This cutting-edge facility is anticipated to double the company’s manufacturing capacity, marking a significant milestone in Vivo’s growth strategy. The expansion aligns with Vivo’s goal to enhance its focus on India-centric products, including localized design and camera features.

With the new facility, Vivo aims to reinforce its commitment to "Atmanirbhar Bharat" by significantly increasing its production capabilities. This move is part of Vivo's broader strategy, which includes a ₹3,000 crore investment in the new plant and future expansions.

As Vivo celebrates its 10th anniversary in India, it reflects on its substantial investments of ₹3,500 crore and the production of over 150 million smartphones, including ₹400 crore worth of exports since 2022. The company is focused on deepening localization efforts through its "Design for India" initiative, tailoring products to meet local preferences and advancing key component manufacturing.

Chen highlighted India's promising future as an economic powerhouse, noting improvements in infrastructure and governance. Vivo's extensive network, including over 70,000 retail touchpoints and 650 service centers, underscores its substantial impact on job creation and market presence.
