GreenLine Mobility Solutions, a subsidiary of the Essar Group and a pioneer in green logistics, has secured a USD 275 million equity investment, including USD 20 million from entrepreneur and investor Nikhil Kamath.
The funding will accelerate GreenLine’s mission to decarbonise India’s transport sector by supporting the rollout of 10,000+ LNG and electric-powered trucks nationwide. It will also fund the development of critical infrastructure, including 100 LNG refuelling stations, EV charging hubs, and battery swapping facilities.
Anshuman Ruia, Director at Essar, emphasized the long-term vision: “This is about building a complete green mobility ecosystem — and eventually, investing in clean energy sources to power our fleet. It’s a step toward reducing emissions, lowering energy imports, and creating a more sustainable, energy-secure India.”
Backing the move, Nikhil Kamath stated: “Green mobility is the future. Investing in GreenLine is a commitment to sustainability, innovation, and transforming how we move goods at scale.”
