Maruti Suzuki's Kharkhoda Hat-Trick: A ₹7,410 Crore Investment

Maruti Suzuki India will invest Rs 7,410 crore to establish its third manufacturing plant in Kharkhoda, Haryana.

The new facility will expand Maruti Suzuki’s total production capacity in Kharkhoda to 7,50,000 units annually by 2029. The company already operates one plant in Kharkhoda, which became operational in February 2025, and is constructing a second plant—both with annual production capacities of 2,50,000 units each. The upcoming third plant will further strengthen Maruti Suzuki’s presence, adding another 2,50,000 units per year.

Headquartered in New Delhi, Maruti Suzuki confirmed that the project will be funded through internal accruals, driven by rising domestic demand and growing exports. As of December 2024, the company leads India’s car exports with a 40% market share. Currently, Maruti Suzuki operates three manufacturing facilities—two in Haryana and one in Gujarat.
