Tesla Inc. has made a significant move toward entering the Indian market by securing its first showroom in Mumbai's Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC).
The electric vehicle giant has leased a 4,003 sq. ft. space on the ground floor of Maker Maxity’s 2 North Avenue from Univco Properties for a five-year term, with a security deposit of Rs 2.11 crore and a 36-month lock-in period.
Actively exploring opportunities in India, Tesla has been in discussions with government authorities while assessing potential locations for showrooms and manufacturing facilities.
