CPCL’s Green Leap: SAF, Bio-Gas, and Petrochemicals

In alignment with global energy transitions, Chennai Petroleum Corporation (CPCL) announced plans to invest in sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and compressed bio-gas. Highlighted at the CPCL-The Hindu Sustainability Summit 2026 by MD H Shankar, the company is adapting to market trends by combining green power integration at its Manali refinery with dedicated petrochemical manufacturing at its Nagapattinam joint venture with IOCL. Empowered by its recent Navratna status, CPCL is well-positioned to independently accelerate its sustainable and petrochemical-focused roadmap.
