GNFC’s ₹360 Cr Expansion: 94% Capacity Boost Coming Soon

Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers & Chemicals (GNFC) has awarded Toyo Engineering India a contract for the construction of an Ammonium Nitrate-II plant on a lump sum engineering, procurement, and construction (LEPC) basis.

The project, valued at approximately ₹360 crore, is scheduled for completion within 20 months. The plant will utilize INCRO technology, with Toyo Engineering collaborating with Spain-based INCRO for process know-how and licensing. Once operational, the new facility is expected to increase GNFC’s Ammonium Nitrate production capacity by nearly 94 percent, addressing the rising demand from downstream industries.

This project will significantly strengthen GNFC’s manufacturing capabilities in India, align with the Make in India initiative, and reaffirm the company’s focus on sustainable and environmentally responsible operations.
