OIL, GAIL Sign MoU to Boost India's Gas Value Chain

Oil India Limited (OIL) and GAIL (India) Limited have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance collaboration across the natural gas value chain, aiming to expand access to cleaner energy across India.

The MoU was signed by senior directors from both companies in the presence of key officials from the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas. This strategic partnership represents a major step toward boosting domestic gas availability and ensuring efficient delivery to high-demand regions, aligning with the government’s vision of building a gas-based economy and accelerating the country’s energy transition.

Under the agreement, OIL will leverage its upstream strengths while GAIL will contribute its extensive expertise in gas marketing and distribution infrastructure. The collaboration is expected to create operational synergies, improve national energy security, and drive the adoption of sustainable energy solutions.

This initiative reinforces India’s commitment to cleaner, more reliable, and accessible energy for all citizens.
