NTPC Green Issues EoI for India's First Green Hydrogen Hub.

NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL) has issued an Expression of Interest (EoI) inviting global green chemical developers to participate in establishing projects at India’s first Green Hydrogen Hub in Pudimadaka, near Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh.

Envisioned as the largest integrated green hydrogen and green chemicals ecosystem in the country, the hub aims to produce up to 2.5 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) of green chemicals, including ammonia, methanol, green urea, and e-SAF (sustainable aviation fuel).

The proposed mega facility will feature:

7 GW electrolyser capacity, 7.5 GW GIS substations, 7.5 GW of transmission lines connected to CTU substations, A dedicated captive port/jetty, Desalination plant

Chemical storage and logistics area, Supporting utilities and common infrastructure

This strategic initiative is part of NGEL’s commitment to accelerating India’s energy transition and building a world-class green industrial ecosystem.

The deadline for submission of EoIs is 24 October 2025.
