Aarti Industries Expands Specialty Chemicals Footprint in Gujarat

Aarti Industries (AIL) has commissioned Phase I of its Zone IV project at Jhagadia in Gujarat, strengthening its downstream integration and expanding its portfolio of high-value specialty products.

The first phase comprises facilities for Calcium Chloride and 2-Phenyl Ethyl Diethyl Aniline, enabling diversified applications and flexible multi-product manufacturing. The new platform will support the commercialisation of niche products, including several that are expected to be manufactured in India for the first time.

The Calcium Chloride facility will cater to oilfield and energy-related applications, while the overall Zone IV facilities will serve sectors such as agrochemicals, pharmaceuticals, coatings and polymers. AIL will now focus on commercial qualification, customer approvals and ramping up production.
