Navin Fluorine International (NFIL) has commenced commercial production at its new ₹450 crore manufacturing facility in Dahej, with an annual capacity of 40,000 tonnes.
The plant, operated through its subsidiary, marks a strategic expansion to reinforce NFIL’s presence in the specialty chemicals segment, catering to industries such as pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, and renewable energy. With this addition, the company has significantly enhanced its anhydrous hydrofluoric acid (AHF) production capacity, which was previously capped at 20,000 tonnes per annum at its Surat facility.
NFIL stated that the expanded capacity is aimed at addressing rising demand across the fluorochemicals market. The new facility is expected to serve a wide range of sectors, particularly pharmaceuticals and specialty chemicals, while also supporting the growing need for critical inputs in renewable energy applications. The investment reflects the company’s long-term strategy to scale up production and strengthen its footprint in high-growth segments.
