Bharat Agri Fert & Realty (BAFREL) is set to create a milestone in India's hospitality sector by developing the country's first seven-star resort on the outskirts of Mumbai. The new venture, situated on a sprawling 120-acre freehold land, will feature an additional 170 rooms, a banquet hall, and enhanced amenities designed to cater to high-end destination weddings. The resort is expected to be completed by 2025-2026.
This ambitious project aligns with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's "Wed in India" initiative, aiming to promote India as a premier destination for weddings and luxury tourism. Operating under the esteemed Anchaviyo brand, the new resort promises to elevate its status and reinforce India's position in the global luxury hospitality market.
Currently, Anchaviyo Resort in Palghar district boasts 80 luxurious theme-based rooms. The expansion will utilize surplus land at the existing resort, with an estimated investment of Rs 50-55 crore. The location offers a serene and picturesque setting along a riverbank, further enhanced by its proximity to the Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust's new Vadhavan port, which is expected to draw additional business travelers.
In its first phase, BAFREL plans to double the room capacity of the Anchaviyo Resort. The company also has plans for a second phase of expansion, indicating a strong commitment to growth and innovation in the hospitality sector. Additionally, BAFREL is exploring a joint venture with a prominent hotel chain to further solidify its market presence.
This strategic move marks a significant step in BAFREL's intensified focus on the hospitality industry over the next two to three years. The development of this seven-star resort is poised to set new standards for luxury and service, positioning India as a leading destination for both leisure and business travelers.
