The Assam Cancer Care Foundation (ACCF) is leading an extensive initiative to combat cancer by establishing ten state-of-the-art cancer care hospitals across Assam, with an estimated budget of Rs. 135 crore each Project. This milestone project has garnered preliminary approval, sparking hope within communities grappling with the growing cancer challenge.
Bringing Hope to All Corners:
Strategically situated in Sibsagar, Dhubri, Pratapgarh, Nagaon, Tinsukia, Nalbari, Golaghat, and Goalpara, these ten hospitals are strategically positioned across Assam to ensure access for patients in diverse regions. This approach aims to provide specialized cancer care where it's most required, improving accessibility across the state.
A Vision for Comprehensive Care:
Each hospital will boast cutting-edge diagnostic equipment, advanced treatment methods, and a team of experts in oncology, surgery, radiology, and pathology. This holistic approach is designed to offer patients comprehensive care, from early detection and diagnosis to effective treatment and crucial support services.
Economic Impact and Future Plans:
The project's significance goes beyond healthcare; it also promises economic vitality. By creating employment opportunities during both construction and operations, these hospitals are poised to stimulate local economies, contributing to overall development in Assam. While the project has obtained initial approval, it is currently in the planning stages. ACCF is actively finalizing construction plans, securing funding, and obtaining necessary approvals. The initial phase will establish three hospitals in Silchar, Guwahati, and Diphu, followed by the addition of seven more in subsequent phases.
