Amaravati Capital City Construction to Commence March 15, 2025

Andhra Pradesh Municipal Minister P. Narayana announced that construction of Amaravati, the state’s greenfield capital city, will commence by March 15, 2025.

He stated that the tendering process and contractor selection are in progress, following the conclusion of the model code of conduct for the recent MLC elections. "LOAs (Letters of Award) will be issued to contract agencies within a few days, pending the authority’s approval," he confirmed.

The Amaravati master plan, originally designed between 2014 and 2019, remains unchanged. The government has spent over seven months ensuring the project is free from legal obstacles.

With a surplus land bank of 4,000 acres, Amaravati is poised for a significant rise in real estate values as infrastructure development accelerates.
