US biotech leader Amgen is set to open a new technology and innovation center in Hyderabad’s HITEC City, with operations expected to commence in the fourth quarter of 2024. The center will occupy six floors of the RMZ Spire Tower and is designed to house up to 3,000 employees, reflecting Amgen's commitment to expanding its technological and digital capabilities.
The Hyderabad facility will focus on developing advanced technology solutions and enhancing digital efficiencies across Amgen’s global operations. Key areas of development will include artificial intelligence (AI), data science, and life sciences, with the aim of bolstering the company’s capabilities in drug discovery, clinical trials, and operational optimization.
Amgen’s expansion into Hyderabad underscores the city’s growing prominence as a global hub for innovation and technology. The new center will play a pivotal role in supporting Amgen’s international operations, driving advancements in biotechnology, and accelerating research and development initiatives.
With $28.2 billion in revenue for 2023 and a presence in around 100 countries, Amgen’s new center will integrate biotechnology with cutting-edge technology to enhance its global impact and operational efficiency.
