Capgemini to invest ₹1,000 crore in new Chennai facility

Capgemini is set to invest ₹1,000 crore over the next three years in a new facility in Chennai, aiming to support its diverse specialist teams. The facility, with a 5,000-seat capacity and spanning nearly 6 lakh square feet, will be a hub for top-tier talent in southern India. Located at Sipcot, Siruseri, it will feature advanced engineering labs, customer experience centers, and specialized onboarding rooms.

Scheduled for completion by April 2027, the facility promises a collaborative and engaging work environment. Vijay Chandramohan, Capgemini’s Vice President, emphasized the company's dedication to innovation, sustainable growth, and local talent. This expansion reflects Capgemini’s commitment to enhancing community well-being and collaborating with local government efforts.

TRB Rajaa, Tamil Nadu's Minister for Industries, praised the strategic importance of this investment. He highlighted Chennai’s growing reputation as a global technology investment destination and its rapid office space absorption. The new facility underscores the quality of local talent and supports Tamil Nadu's vision of becoming a trillion-dollar economy by 2030.
