Digital Connexion, a collaborative effort involving Reliance Industries, Brookfield Asset Management from Canada, and Digital Realty, has unveiled its inaugural data center campus situated in Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
Nestled within the Ambattur Industrial Estate for strategic positioning, this cutting-edge facility is designed to accommodate up to 100 MW of critical IT load capacity. The first phase, known as MAA10, is set to provide 20 MW of IT load with a modular infrastructure blueprint. This allows clients to seamlessly expand their infrastructure in response to diverse workload requirements, catering to anything from individual cabinet needs to multi-megawatt demands.
Specifically engineered to support emerging technologies like artificial intelligence (AI) and large language models, MAA10 boasts standardized configurations and ultra-high-power densities, reaching up to 70 kilowatts per rack. These features address the elevated power density, efficient cooling infrastructure, and interconnectivity prerequisites of AI workloads.
MAA10 draws on the expertise of its collaborators: Brookfield's profound understanding of the Indian infrastructure market, Digital Realty's energy-efficient data center platform design and operational protocols, and Jio’s extensive digital and connectivity ecosystem, bolstered by robust enterprise relationships.
