Co-living startup Union Living is set to embark on a robust expansion plan for the current calendar year, aiming to add 1,000 beds in key locations across Mumbai, Maharashtra. The strategic rollout includes launching 220 beds in Mahalakshmi, 180 beds in Juhu, 100 beds in Khar/Santacruz, 150 beds in Goregaon/Malad, 100 beds in Chembur, and 200 beds in Navi Mumbai.
Underlining their commitment to tailored living experiences, Union Living plans to develop a minimum of three properties, totaling approximately 500 beds, as built-to-suit (BTS) facilities. These bespoke properties are slated to be operational by July this year, offering customized amenities to meet the unique needs of residents.
This expansion aligns with Union Living's mission to provide top-notch co-living spaces, particularly targeting outstation students and full-time working professionals relocating for employment opportunities. The company aims to create a community-centric atmosphere, fostering connectivity through a variety of in-house events covering music, festivities, mental health, personal development, and more.
Presently, Union Living boasts a portfolio of 1,050 operational beds spread across nine properties in Mumbai, Pune, and Ahmedabad. The expansion initiative, requiring a Rs 10 crore investment, will be allocated for security deposits to landlords and interior works for the new centers. The startup caters to the housing needs of both students and working professionals, offering short-term stay facilities with rental accommodation starting at Rs 20,000 per bed.
This strategic approach to new launches reflects Union Living's dedication to providing quality living spaces in diverse neighborhoods. By tailoring their offerings to the specific needs and preferences of millennials and Gen Z, the company aims to solidify its position as a leading player in the co-living space industry.
