Max Fashion is set to significantly expand its retail footprint in Bengaluru, with plans to increase its presence by 15-20% over the next 12-18 months. Currently operating around 42 stores in the city, the company aims to open an additional 5-6 locations within the year, according to Sumit Chandna, President and Deputy CEO of Max Fashion, Landmark Group.
Chandna underscored the importance of the South Indian market, attributing the expansion to the region’s strong shopping habits and higher SKU count compared to other areas. “Our base in Bangalore drives our aggressive growth strategy in the South,” he noted.
Max Fashion’s southern expansion also includes increasing its store count in Coimbatore by 3-4 and entering 3-4 new district headquarters in Tamil Nadu. In Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Kerala, and Tamil Nadu, the company currently operates a combined total of 277 stores across various cities.
The company’s focus on tier-2 and tier-3 cities is evident, with 18 stores in tier-2 cities and 87 in tier-3 cities in the South. Max Fashion has reported steady single-digit sales growth and is working to seamlessly integrate its online and offline platforms to drive future expansion.
This announcement reflects a strategic business investment rather than a tender or contract.
