Infrastructure provider Desco Infratech Ltd has announced the successful commissioning of a significant City Gas Distribution (CGD) contract for Adani Total Gas Ltd (ATGL) in Faridabad, Haryana.
The scope of the project comprised laying in excess of 100 kilometers of Medium Density Polyethylene (MDPE) pipelines alongside the installation of over 6,500 domestic Piped Natural Gas (PNG) connections. Executed in full compliance with prescribed technical and safety protocols, the project aligns with the Indian government's vision to increase the share of natural gas in the national energy mix.
The company noted that the project was completed against a backdrop of global supply chain strain and energy market volatility triggered by events in West Asia, underscoring the necessity of robust local energy networks.
Commenting on the achievement, Malhar Desai, Whole-time Director of Desco Infratech Ltd, stated that the successful execution underlines the firm's technical competence and disciplined approach, while directly supporting India's broader clean energy transition and energy security objectives.
