Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation has declared AECOM India as the lowest bidder (L1) for the consultancy contract of the Thane Integral Ring Metro Project.
AECOM submitted a bid of ₹142 crore, emerging as the most competitive among key contenders, including Ayesa Ingenieria Y Arquitectura at ₹148.1 crore and Systra MVA Consulting at ₹170.3 crore. The consultancy contract, valued at approximately ₹148 crore, will be executed over a period of 48 months.
Under the mandate, AECOM will deliver comprehensive project management services, including design review, quality assurance, and safety oversight. As General Consultant, the firm will also coordinate with multiple stakeholders to ensure adherence to technical standards and regulatory requirements.
The Thane Integral Ring Metro Project, estimated at ₹12,200 crore, aims to significantly improve east-west connectivity in Thane and integrate metro networks across the Mumbai Metropolitan Region. The project will include 22 stations and is expected to ease traffic congestion in one of the region’s fastest-growing urban centers, while strengthening overall transport infrastructure.
