Powering India’s Telecom Future: Inside Gwalior’s ₹5,500 Crore TMZ

The city is set to house Asia’s very first Telecom Manufacturing Zone (TMZ) at the Shrimant Madhavrao Scindia Counter Magnet City (SADA).

Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia recently inspected the sprawling 170-acre site, which is driving a massive INR 5,500 crore investment. Designed to accommodate 24–25 high-tech manufacturing units, the zone has already drawn overwhelming interest from investors following roadshows in Delhi and Mumbai. With 24 companies having already applied—surpassing current land capacity—expansion plans are already underway!

Beyond boosting domestic electronics manufacturing, this milestone project is projected to generate over 18,000 direct employment opportunities. The future of India's telecom supply chain is being built right here.
