JWL Bags Rs 1,617 Crore Wagon Order from Indian Railways

Jupiter Wagons (JWL), a leading provider of mobility solutions, has successfully secured a significant work order from the Ministry of Railways, Government of India, for the supply of wagons. The contract, valued at Rs 1,617 crore, underscores JWL's prominence in the field.

Under this agreement, JWL will undertake the manufacturing of 4,000 BOXNS wagons, classified as BG bogie open wagon type. These wagons are designed with an impressive axle load capacity of 25 tonnes, ensuring reliable performance across diverse freight conditions. Notably, the wagons can achieve a maximum speed of 86 kmph when empty and 45 kmph when loaded, prioritizing both efficiency and safety during transit.
