Ashoka Buildcon has emerged as the lowest bidder (L1) for two significant projects awarded by the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA), totaling Rs 1280.8 crore. This achievement underscores the company's robust position in the infrastructure sector.
The first contract involves the design and construction of a creek bridge from Kolshet to Kalher, valued at Rs 289.60 crore. This project aims to enhance connectivity and reduce travel time between these key regions.
The second project, worth Rs 991.20 crore, is for constructing another creek bridge from Gaimukh to Payegaon. This bridge is expected to bolster infrastructure development and support economic growth in the area.
In a parallel development, Afcons Infrastructure was also declared a successful bidder for two MMRDA projects. These include a creek bridge from Kasarvadavli to Kharbav and an elevated road from NH-4 Old to Katai Naka for a freeway project in Maharashtra.
These projects highlight the ongoing efforts to improve transportation infrastructure in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region. With Ashoka Buildcon and Afcons Infrastructure at the helm, these developments are set to enhance regional connectivity and foster economic progress.
