North Eastern Railway (NER) has announced a tender for the construction of the substructure of an important bridge over the Rohani River. This project, located between Anandnagar and Ghughli in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, is part of the new broad gauge (BG) line extending 52.70 kilometers via Maharajganj. The bridge, designated as Bridge No. 50, will feature a double D-type well foundation designed for a double line with a loading standard of 25.00 tonnes.
The project aims to enhance the rail connectivity and infrastructure in the region, facilitating smoother and more efficient transportation. The scope of work includes constructing the substructure for a bridge with seven spans, each measuring 61.0 meters. This ambitious infrastructure project is estimated to cost ₹54.74 crore and is expected to be completed within eight months from the commencement date.
Interested contractors and firms must submit their bids by 29 July 2024. This tender represents a significant investment in the region's transportation network, promising to bolster economic activities and improve the overall transit experience. The double line design indicates a future-proofing approach, accommodating increased rail traffic and load capacity.
NER's initiative reflects the ongoing efforts to upgrade the railway infrastructure across India. By inviting bids for such a substantial project, NER demonstrates its commitment to enhancing connectivity and promoting regional development. The project is expected to generate employment opportunities and stimulate local businesses during its construction phase.
Potential bidders and stakeholders are encouraged to review the tender details and submit their proposals before the deadline to be part of this transformative infrastructure development.
