KIMS Hospitals Expands in Vizag with 200-Bed Hospital Acquisition

KIMS Hospitals has acquired Queen's NRI Hospital (QNRI), a renowned 200-bed facility in Vizag. Established in 1995, QNRI spans around 150,000 square feet and is situated in a densely populated area with significant growth potential. The acquisition enhances KIMS' market presence, already strong with their multi-specialty hospital and gastro unit in Vizag.

The acquisition was formalized through a Share Purchase Agreement with the former promoters and shareholders of Chalasani Hospitals Private Limited, the previous owners of QNRI. This agreement secures KIMS Hospitals' complete ownership of the facility, marking a significant milestone in their expansion strategy.

Dr. B. Bhaskara Rao, CMD of KIMS Hospitals, highlighted the strategic importance of this acquisition, stating, "This marks our second hospital in Vishakapatnam, underscoring the immense opportunities we envision in this city." He emphasized their commitment to further growth through strategic acquisitions to strengthen their leadership in Andhra Pradesh.

With the addition of Queen's NRI Hospital, KIMS' bed capacity in Vizag exceeds 630, enhancing their ability to deliver world-class healthcare services to a larger population. The prime location of QNRI, near key health hubs, adds to its strategic value, enabling KIMS to cater effectively to the healthcare needs of the community.

The acquisition reflects KIMS Hospitals' dedication to expanding their footprint and consolidating their market position in Andhra Pradesh. This move is poised to significantly benefit the residents of Vizag, offering them enhanced access to quality healthcare services.
