Patel Engineering Ltd. (PEL), in collaboration with a joint venture partner, has received a Letter of Acceptance (LoA) from the Maharashtra Krishna Valley Development Corporation (MKVDC), Pune, for an irrigation project valued at ₹958.33 crore.
PEL holds a 20% share in the joint venture, translating to a contract value of ₹191.67 crore. The project involves the development of a Pipeline Distribution Network along the Nira Deoghar Right Bank Main Canal—from km 87 to km 135—including associated distributaries and minor off-takes between km 65 and km 135. It is located in Kalaj village, Phaltan Taluka, Satara district, Maharashtra, and is slated for completion within 36 months.
Project activities include excavation, trenching, structural construction, pipe laying, installation of valves, chambers, and outlets, followed by extensive testing. Upon completion, a five-year operations, maintenance, and repair phase will commence.
PEL was declared the lowest bidder (L1) for the project, underscoring its expertise and competitive positioning in executing large-scale infrastructure developments.
