Jharkhand Calls: Coal Handling Plant Needs Commissioning!

The Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) has initiated the bidding process for the establishment of a coal handling plant at the Magadh Open Cast Project (OCP) situated in the Chatra district of Jharkhand, India. This project encompasses a wide range of tasks, including planning, design, engineering, supply, construction, fabrication, erection, installation, testing, trial run, and commissioning of the coal handling plant, which is anticipated to handle 51.0 million metric tons per year (MTY).

Additionally, the scope of work includes all civil, structural, electrical, and mechanical components, as well as the provision of other necessary facilities. It is mandatory for the commencement of work to occur within 30 days of the issuance of the letter of acceptance or from the seventh day following the handover of the site, whichever is later.

Valued at an impressive Rs 1,437.02 crore, the contract encompasses a total duration of 24 months, encompassing the construction phase, trial run, Performance Guarantee Test (PGT), and eventual commissioning. Subsequently, the operation and maintenance (O&M) of the plant will be managed by the awarded entity for a period of five years post-completion. Interested parties are required to submit their bids by the submission due date, which is set for 08 June 2024. This project underscores CCL's commitment to enhancing coal handling infrastructure and demonstrates its dedication to modernization and efficiency in coal mining operations.
