ACME Solar Goes Hybrid: 190 MW Deal Signed & Sealed

ACME Solar Holdings has signed a 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) for a 190 MW wind-solar hybrid project, bringing its total PPA-backed capacity to 5,820 MW.

The agreement has been executed through its subsidiary ACME Urja One Private Ltd and covers an Interstate Transmission System (ISTS)-connected hybrid project. The 190 MW forms the first phase of a larger 380 MW tranche, with the PPA for this initial phase now formalised.

The project tariff has been approved by the Central Electricity Regulatory Commission, and the power procurement plan has received nods from the relevant state electricity regulatory authority.

Under the agreement, ACME Solar is obligated to maintain a minimum annual capacity utilisation factor (CUF) of 50% and supply 80% of peak power demand on a daily basis. Grid connectivity for all project components—including solar, wind, and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)—has been secured, with timelines for transmission infrastructure aligned to the contracted commercial operations date.
