Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. has emerged as the successful bidder for a crucial project aimed at strengthening the transmission system between Bhadla-III and Bikaner-III complexes. This achievement highlights the company's expertise and leadership in the power transmission sector.
The awarded project focuses on the "Transmission System Strengthening for Interconnections of Bhadla-III & Bikaner-III Complex" and was secured through a competitive tariff-based bidding process. This initiative will be implemented on a Build-Own-Operate-Transfer (BOOT) basis, demonstrating Power Grid Corporation's capability to manage large-scale projects efficiently.
Central to the project is the establishment of a 765kV double-circuit transmission line. This line will play a vital role in connecting the Bhadla-III and Bikaner-III substations, ensuring a robust and reliable power transmission network in Rajasthan. Additionally, the project includes essential bay extension works at these substations.
Power Grid Corporation received the Letter of Intent (LoI) for this significant project on August 1, 2024. This milestone marks the beginning of a transformative endeavor that will enhance the region's power infrastructure.
