Universal MEP Wins Contract for Chennai Metro Line 5

Chennai Metro Rail has recently awarded a significant contract worth Rs. 137.86 crore to Universal MEP Projects & Engineering Services for the comprehensive Electrical and Mechanical (E&M) systems, fire protection, ventilation, and air-conditioning on Line 5. This critical undertaking is part of Phase-II of the Chennai metro, specifically for the 44.6 km Pink line, extending from Madhavaram to Sholinganallur. The ambitious project spans a duration of 2.2 years and encompasses the development of 22 elevated stations, including associated viaducts, aiming to enhance the city's metro infrastructure.

The scope of the contract is extensive, covering various aspects such as the supply, installation, testing, commissioning, and training. Universal MEP Projects & Engineering Services is entrusted with the responsibility of ensuring the seamless integration and functioning of essential systems critical to the operational efficiency and safety of the Chennai metro.
