Hindustan Power has signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Ltd (UPPCL) for the development of a 435 MW (DC) solar power project in Uttar Pradesh.
The agreement ensures a 25-year supply of clean electricity, supporting the state government’s target of achieving 22,000 MW of renewable energy capacity by FY27. The project was awarded to Hindustan Power through a competitive bidding process held in April 2025.
Once operational, the solar plant is expected to accelerate Uttar Pradesh’s energy transition, contribute to sustainable development, and generate employment opportunities across the region.
Ratul Puri, Chairman of Hindustan Power, stated:
“We are progressing at full pace to ensure timely execution—from site development to stakeholder coordination. This project highlights our commitment to delivering clean, reliable energy and contributing to Uttar Pradesh’s vision of becoming a trillion-dollar economy.”
As a leading integrated power producer, Hindustan Power continues to strengthen its portfolio in renewable and transitional energy, reinforcing its long-term commitment to India’s clean energy future.
