Suzlon Secures 100 MW Wind Power Project in Gujarat

Suzlon Group has secured a contract with a prominent global utility company for the development of a 100.8 MW wind power project in Gujarat, India. This venture will involve the installation of 32 wind turbine generators (WTGs) featuring a hybrid lattice tubular (HLT) tower, each with a rated capacity of 3.15 MW.

Under the terms of the contract, Suzlon will manage the entire project life cycle, encompassing the supply, supervision, and commissioning phases. Additionally, the company has committed to providing post-commissioning operation and maintenance (O&M) services. The electricity generated by the wind power project will be supplied to Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam (GUVNL), contributing to the supply of clean, green, and renewable energy to the people of Gujarat.

This substantial order aligns with Suzlon's mission to deliver top-tier wind energy solutions for leading global enterprises. The company is dedicated to serving its customers and the nation by leveraging proven technology, extensive experience, and a commitment to service excellence in India. Furthermore, this project's capacity is anticipated to provide electricity to approximately 77,000 households and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 3.02 lakh tonnes annually.

Suzlon emphasizes its contribution to the vision of 'Atmanirbhar Bharat' by manufacturing turbines domestically. The company's ongoing research and development (R&D) initiatives are focused on enhancing turbine performance, extracting more energy from low-wind sites, and driving down the overall cost of energy.
