Coca-Cola plans to set up concentrate plant in Gujarat

The Coca-Cola Company has secured 1.6 lakh sq. mtrs. of land in Sanand near Ahmedabad, courtesy of the Gujarat government, for the establishment of a cutting-edge concentrate manufacturing plant. Situated in Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation-II (GIDC-II) at Bol, this strategic location marks a significant step for the company's expansion.

In a substantial move, the US-based corporation is set to invest approximately Rs 3,000 crore in the development of this plant, which will specialize in the production of concentrates—the essential ingredient in their iconic beverages.

Hindustan Coca Cola Beverages (HCCBPL), the company's bottling partner, has already established its presence with beverage bottling plants in Goblej (Kheda district) and Sanand (Ahmedabad district). Expanding their operations, HCCBPL is now poised to create a new soft drinks unit in Ratnagiri district, Maharashtra. The foundation stone for this venture was ceremoniously laid in November of the current year, showcasing the company's commitment to growth and innovation in the beverage industry.
