Nestlé India Limited has announced a ₹90 crore expansion of its Sanand factory in Gujarat to increase production of its flagship Maggi noodles.
In a regulatory filing dated April 1, 2026, the company revealed plans to install a new production line with a capacity of 20,500 tons per annum, raising the facility’s total output beyond its current level of approximately 141,600 tons. The expansion comes at a time when the plant is operating at around 80% capacity utilization.
The project will be fully funded through internal accruals and is expected to be commissioned in the financial year 2026–27. Nestlé India stated that this investment is part of its broader capital expenditure strategy to meet rising demand and strengthen its leadership in the instant noodles segment.
