Chhatrapati Distillery's Bio-Circular Economy in Maharashtra

Chhatrapati Sahakari Sakhar Karkhana Ltd. (CSSKL) is set to broaden its production horizon with the initiation of a 45 KLPD Molasses Based Distillery in Sonajinagar, Maharashtra. This strategic venture not only marks a significant expansion in CSSKL's production capacity but also underscores the company's commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility.

At the core of this project is the efficient utilization of molasses, a by-product readily available from sugar production, showcasing CSSKL's dedication to resource efficiency. The distillery, with a 45 KLPD capacity, is poised to make a substantial contribution to the regional economy. A noteworthy feature of this initiative is the allocation of 2 acres for green belt development, emphasizing CSSKL's commitment to environmental stewardship.

Ensuring self-sufficiency, the project incorporates captive power generation and an incineration boiler with a 1.0 MW TG, guaranteeing an independent power supply for the distillery. With a significant investment of Rs.72.73 Crores, CSSKL demonstrates its confidence in the growth potential of this eco-conscious molasses distillery.

To provide a more comprehensive overview, additional information on the project's impact on local job creation, water management strategies including sourcing and wastewater treatment plans, specific products to be manufactured, and an estimated completion timeline would further enhance the understanding of the project's significance for CSSKL and its broader community.
