Som Distilleries and Breweries' (SDBL) subsidiary, Woodpecker Greenagri Nutrients, is set to establish a greenfield project in Khimsepur, Uttar Pradesh. The facility will include a brewery, distillery, and manufacturing units, with an estimated investment of Rs 600 crore.
The Uttar Pradesh State Industrial Development Authority (UPSIDA) has allocated 40 acres for the project, with construction commencing after regulatory approvals. Emphasizing the state’s strong growth potential, SDBL Chairman J K Arora stated, “This greenfield project in UP represents a key milestone in our expansion strategy. The state’s business-friendly environment and vast market potential make it an ideal location for our new facility. We remain committed to delivering high-quality products while driving local economic growth and job creation.”
SDBL, a leading alcoholic beverage manufacturer, operates breweries in Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, and Odisha. Its diverse portfolio includes beer, rum, brandy, vodka, and whisky.
