Leap India Food & Logistics Private Limited would build a 50 MW Food Grains Storage Project in Murshidabad, West Bengal. Leap India, a leader in India's agro infrastructure industry, works with the government to pioneer and manage long-term Public-Private Partnership (PPP) projects to store agricultural output. Leap India is India's second-largest bulk grain storage company, operating in 12 states and handling 700,000 metric tons of storage capacity.
A key project in Murshidabad would reduce food grain post-harvest losses in West Bengal. Leap India's effort to improve food grain storage and management in the state would reduce post-harvest losses. Beyond improving food grain preservation, the initiative is projected to boost the local economy by creating jobs and boosting development.
