Nira Bhima Sahakari Sakhar Karkhana Limited is undertaking an ambitious expansion project at its facility located in Shahajinagar, Po: Redni, Tal: Indapur, Pune District, Maharashtra. With a significant investment of ₹165.75 Crore, including the cost of distillery expansion, the project aims to enhance the sugar cane crushing capacity from the current 3,500 TCD (Tonnes per Day) to 6,000 TCD. Additionally, the distillery capacity is set to increase from 30 KLPD (Kiloliters per Day) to 105 KLPD, with a provision to scale up to 300 KLPD, showcasing the company's vision for growth and its commitment to meeting the increasing demand for its products.
A notable aspect of this expansion is the plan to boost the co-generation plant capacity from 18 MW to 24 MW, a strategic move that not only enhances energy efficiency but also contributes to the sustainability goals of the company.
The financing strategy for this project involves a combination of debt and equity, illustrating a balanced approach to funding this extensive expansion. Moreover, the project is anticipated to create numerous employment opportunities, thereby contributing positively to the local economy.
