Nestlé Fuels Maggi Boom with ₹85 Cr Sanand Expansion

Nestlé India has commissioned a new production line for Maggi Noodles at its Sanand facility in Gujarat, reinforcing its ongoing capital expenditure programme to strengthen manufacturing capabilities across the country.

Driven by rising consumer demand for its flagship instant noodles brand, the expansion will boost the Sanand factory’s annual output by 20,600 tonnes. The facility currently operates at 80% capacity, producing approximately 1,21,000 tonnes per year.

The ₹85 crore investment for the new line will be funded entirely through internal accruals and is expected to be completed by FY 2025–26. This project forms part of Nestlé India’s broader strategy to scale capacity through a mix of greenfield and brownfield expansions planned between 2020 and 2025.

By enhancing production at Sanand, Nestlé aims to strengthen supply chain resilience and better meet growing demand for Maggi across the country.
