NTPC's Green Leap with Biomass Pellets in Uttar Pradesh

NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam Ltd. is making strides towards sustainable energy with its new biomass pellets project in Dadri, Gautam Budh Nagar, Uttar Pradesh. This eco-friendly initiative involves an investment of 18 Crores and aims to produce 50 tons of biomass pellets per day.

The project focuses on converting agricultural waste into biomass pellets, which serve as a renewable and cleaner alternative to traditional fossil fuels. This aligns with NTPC's commitment to reducing carbon emissions and promoting green energy solutions.

Located strategically in Dadri, the facility will leverage local agricultural residues, thereby supporting farmers and contributing to waste management. This not only provides an additional revenue stream for the agricultural community but also addresses environmental concerns associated with crop residue burning.
