JK Urbanscapes Developers (JKUDL), part of JK Organisation, has partnered with Minor Hotels to develop Anantara Retreat Darjeeling Hills, a 70-key luxury hospitality project at Tindharia Tea Estate in West Bengal.
The project involves an investment of Rs 110 crore by JKUDL in partnership with Kaushal Kumbhat. Spread across 849 acres, the working tea estate is located in Tindharia, approx. 40 km from Darjeeling, at elevations of 450–1,000 mtrs. above sea level. The retreat will mark the Indian debut of Anantara Retreats, a wellness-focused luxury hospitality concept under Thailand-based Minor Hotels. The development will integrate wellness programmes, personalised services and nature-based activities while allowing existing tea cultivation to continue.
The project will also feature meeting and event space for small meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions (MICE) gatherings and destination weddings, and is scheduled to open in 2031.
