The Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) has entered into a strategic partnership with Madison, the hospitality arm of Terminus Group and JV Ventures, to develop ten new Ginger hotels across southern India.
Madison will invest approximately ₹500 crore to build these hotels, adding over 1,000 keys over the next three years through a mix of greenfield and brownfield projects. The first hotel under this collaboration — a 75-key Ginger property in Genome Valley, Telangana — will cater to the region’s industrial corridor and biotech ecosystem.
The partnership follows a capital-light operating lease model under the Ginger brand, aligning with IHCL’s strategy to expand in India’s fast-growing mid-scale hospitality segment.
Suma Venkatesh, IHCL Executive Vice President – Real Estate & Development, said the agreement reflects the brand’s confidence in the region’s growth potential. Madison Co-Founder Jasmeet Chhabra noted the rollout will target both industrial and spiritual hubs, while SP Reddy highlighted the Genome Valley hotel’s role in supporting biotech collaboration.
