Radisson Hotel Group, which currently operates over 200 hotels across India, has announced plans to deepen its presence in the Eastern region, with a balanced approach toward expanding in both metro cities and tier-2 markets.
Speaking at the FHRAI National Tourism and Hospitality Conference held in Bengaluru from September 18–20, K.B. Kachru, Chairman – South Asia, highlighted the Group’s strategic focus on restoring historic buildings and converting them into heritage hotels, as part of its growth and brand differentiation strategy.
The conference was attended by Tourism Ministers of Karnataka, Puducherry, and Andhra Pradesh, along with senior leaders from India’s hospitality industry.
Kachru also participated in a high-profile panel discussion on "Building Iconic Indian Hospitality Brands with Global Reach", alongside executives from the ITC Group and The Postcard Hotel, where he shared insights on Radisson’s India journey and its future roadmap.
Radisson’s continued expansion aims to contribute to India's hospitality infrastructure, while tapping into the cultural and historical richness of the Eastern states through adaptive reuse of heritage assets.
