The Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (APIIC) Special Economic Zone (SEZ) at Naidupeta in Tirupati district is witnessing a strong revival, fueling industrial growth and gradually transforming the surrounding rural economy.
After remaining largely inactive for over five years, the SEZ has regained momentum, with significant investments in solar energy, electronics, and manufacturing—approved over the past two years under the Chandrababu Naidu-led NDA government—now progressing rapidly from planning to execution.
Four villages—Dwarakapuram, Menakuru, Palachur, and Attivaram—home to nearly 28,000 people, are at the center of this shift. Residents are already seeing improved employment prospects and increased economic activity, pointing to a broader industrial resurgence in southern Andhra Pradesh.
