Ester Industries and Canada-based Loop Industries will jointly invest ₹1,600 crore to establish a polyester recycling facility in Dahej, Gujarat, through their new joint venture, Ester Loop Infinite Technologies (ELITe).
Spread across 90 acres, the project is expected to commission its first phase by end-2027. Both companies will hold equal ownership, contributing ₹500 crore collectively, with the remaining funding sourced through bank loans.
Ester Industries Chairman Arvind Singhania confirmed land acquisition will be completed by 2025, stating, “These developments validate the strength of our vision to create a world-class hub for circular polyester in India.”
The venture is part of a broader global push, including partnerships like the one with Hyosung TNC, to expand recycled polyester into international textile and apparel markets. Ester Industries, a key player in polyester chips, films, and specialty polymers, currently serves sectors such as FMCG packaging, textiles, automotive, electronics, and adhesives.
