Silicon & Steel: Nvidia Gears Up to Build India’s AI-Powered Factories

Nvidia has unveiled plans to collaborate with India’s leading manufacturers to set up AI-powered factories dedicated to advanced design and production. The initiative will be driven by Nvidia’s AI infrastructure, including its CUDA-X and Omniverse libraries, to enable faster, smarter, and more efficient industrial operations.

Under the proposed framework, Indian manufacturers will partner with global industrial software majors such as Cadence Design Systems, Siemens, and Synopsys to build integrated software-led facilities. These platforms are designed to embed artificial intelligence directly into manufacturing workflows and substantially reduce product design and development cycles.

Vishal Dhupar, Managing Director, South Asia at Nvidia, described the move as a transformative step in the next phase of industrialisation. By combining Nvidia’s full-stack AI capabilities with India’s manufacturing expertise, he said, the collaboration aims not only to support the next wave of industrial growth but to actively shape and accelerate it.
